Professeur Xavier Hebuterne
Dr Xavier Hébuterne is a gastroenterologist and department head at the Nice University Hospital.
Having practiced medicine 30 years, and a firm believer that diet plays a key role in health, he specialises in managing nutritional disorders such as malnutrition and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, etc.).
Dr Hébuterne has written numerous scientific papers addressing the importance of nutrition in health. He also chairs the Francophone Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (Société Francophone Nutrition Clinique et Métabolisme [SFNCM]) and is a professor of nutrition at the Faculty of Medicine in Nice.
Professeur Atul Pathak
Dr Pathak is a cardiologist and pharmacologist. He is head of the cardiology department at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre in Monaco, as well as the cardiovascular research centre at the Clinique Pasteur in Toulouse.
Specialising in care for patients with cardiometabolic risk factors, he has established several therapeutic patient education (TPE) programmes. He is also President of the European Society for Therapeutic Education (Société d’Éducation Thérapeutique Européenne [SETE]) and Vice-President of the French Society of Hypertension (Société Française d’Hypertension [SFHTA]).
Committed to advancing research, Dr Pathak has also spent several years focusing on developing clinical trials aimed at establishing new medications and treatments.
A certified dietician-nutritionist, Jennifer studied at the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition [École de Diététique et Nutrition Humaine] in Paris. Throughout her studies, she explored various approaches to eating in an attempt to meet the specific needs of every individual.
Keenly aware that our health depends on subtle interactions between our genetic predispositions and our lifestyles, Jennifer wished to expand her knowledge by specialising in micronutrition and intestinal microbiota, two areas of the field that are at the front line of research for improving the future of healthcare.
What role do they play at Mium Lab?
