CLINICAL STUDIES

Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays a key role in the proper functioning of the body. It is widely recognised for its ability to reduce stress, improve sleep quality and support physical performance. Scientific research has demonstrated its many benefits through in-depth clinical studies.

Reducing stress and promoting muscle relaxation

A double-blind study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition (2011) assessed the impact of magnesium supplementation in adults with high stress levels. Results showed that participants who took magnesium:

  • Experienced a 30% reduction in perceived stress (measured by the PSS scale).
  • Reported a significant decrease in muscle tension.
  • Noted improved focus and mental clarity.

These findings highlight the important role of magnesium in managing the physical and mental effects of stress.

Improved sleep quality and reduced insomnia

A randomised clinical trial (Abbasi et al., 2012), published in Magnesium Research, examined the effects of magnesium on sleep quality in individuals suffering from mild to moderate insomnia. Participants who took daily magnesium supplements reported

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Magnesium Citrate and Vitamin B6: a synergistic duo for optimal balance

Our high-quality magnesium in its citrate form is combined with vitamin B6 to offer a complete, highly bioavailable solution. Thanks to its advanced formulation, this combination targets the body’s essential needs while maximising absorption and efficacy.

Magnesium citrate: a highly bioavailable form

Magnesium citrate is known for its superior bioavailability, meaning it is more efficiently absorbed by the body than other forms of magnesium. Its unique formulation helps to:

  • Maximise absorption: Optimal uptake for fast and effective results.
  • Reduce cramps and muscle tension: Essential support for muscular and nervous system relaxation.
  • Promote better recovery: Ideal during periods of intense physical or mental stress.

This advanced form of magnesium is particularly suited to individuals seeking an effective solution to meet their daily needs.

Vitamin B6: an essential cofactor

Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, plays a vital role in numerous metabolic processes. In synergy with magnesium, it helps to:

  • Optimise magnesium utilisation: Enhancing its transport and uptake into cells.
  • Support the nervous system: Helping to manage stress and improve emotional balance.
  • Boost energy levels: Contributing to the production of neurotransmitters and red blood cells.

A unique synergy for complete well-being

The combination of magnesium citrate and vitamin B6 forms a powerful duo that works deeply across multiple areas. While magnesium supports muscular and nervous function, vitamin B6 enhances its effectiveness and helps boost energy production. Together, these two actives work in harmony to:

  • Reduce fatigue: Targeted action to counter the effects of a stressful lifestyle.
  • Enhance focus and emotional balance: Ideal for demanding days.
  • Support fast recovery after exertion: A great option for active individuals and athletes.

This complementary action makes the combination a complete, natural solution to support your body and mind every day.

BENEFITS

Regulating nervous and muscular balance

Magnesium plays a central role in muscle relaxation and calming the nervous system. By regulating nerve impulses and muscle contraction, it helps reduce cramps, spasms and tension caused by stress or physical exertion. When combined with vitamin B6, it also supports the production of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, promoting a sense of calm and emotional balance.

Reducing fatigue and supporting energy levels

Magnesium and vitamin B6 work in synergy to reduce feelings of tiredness, often linked to magnesium deficiency. Together, they contribute to:

  • The conversion of nutrients into energy, helping to combat physical and mental exhaustion.
  • Improved stamina during daily or sporting activities.
  • Faster recovery after exertion, by optimally regulating electrolyte balance.

Improving sleep quality

Magnesium deficiency can disrupt sleep cycles by increasing cortisol, the stress hormone. By helping to restore natural balance, magnesium supports:

  • Faster sleep onset thanks to its relaxing effect on muscles and nerves.
  • Fewer night-time awakenings by stabilising nervous system activity.
  • Deeper, more restorative sleep for improved rest and recovery.

Modulating the stress response

Magnesium is well known for its role in reducing the effects of chronic stress. By calming overactivity in the nervous system, it helps to:

  • Stabilise mood, reducing anxiety and agitation.
  • Ease physical symptoms of stress such as palpitations or muscle tension.
  • Prepare the body to better handle everyday stressful situations.

Targeted benefits to meet specific needs

For athletes:

  • Reduces muscle cramps and supports recovery after physical effort.
  • Maintains energy and electrolyte balance for optimal performance.

For those under stress:

  • Soothes nervous tension and improves mood.
  • Supports restful sleep for better coping during demanding days.

For pregnant women:

  • Meets increased magnesium needs to reduce fatigue and cramping.
  • Promotes emotional balance, essential during pregnancy.

For busy adults:

  • Reduces daily fatigue and supports better focus.
  • Strengthens natural defences against stress-related effects.

SCIENCE

Magnesium and its essential functions in the body

Magnesium is a key mineral involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions essential for the body’s optimal functioning.
It plays a central role in energy metabolism, muscle contraction, nerve transmission and electrolyte balance.
In combination with vitamin B6, it also contributes to the production of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, supporting stress management and balanced mood.

The role of magnesium in muscular and nervous relaxation

Scientific studies have shown that magnesium helps regulate muscle tone by limiting the excessive influx of calcium into muscle cells, thereby preventing cramps and tension.
It also stabilises neuronal membranes, promoting a calming effect on the nervous system and improving the body’s ability to cope with stress.
This soothing effect on both muscles and nerves makes magnesium a natural choice for individuals prone to physical or emotional tension.

A bioavailable form for optimal absorption

Magnesium citrate, used in our formula, is known for its high bioavailability, ensuring rapid and efficient absorption by the body. This form is particularly suited to individuals with increased magnesium needs, such as:

  • Active or athletic individuals who lose magnesium through perspiration.
  • People experiencing chronic stress, which can lead to greater magnesium depletion.
  • Adults with unbalanced diets or insufficient magnesium intake (e.g. low in nuts, seeds or green vegetables).
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women, whose magnesium requirements are significantly higher.

Science-backed benefits with vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 works in synergy with magnesium as an essential cofactor, enhancing its absorption and bioavailability within the body.
It helps convert magnesium into a bioactive form readily used by cells. Together, these two actives:

  • Support the production of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin, helping to stabilise mood.
  • Help reduce symptoms of chronic fatigue by improving cellular energy release.
  • Promote muscular and nervous system recovery after physical or mental exertion.

A natural solution to restore balance

Magnesium deficiency can result in various symptoms such as persistent fatigue, irritability, muscle cramps or insomnia.
By providing a highly bioavailable form of magnesium combined with vitamin B6, our formula offers natural daily support for individuals seeking to improve both their physical and mental balance.

Effective!

The taste is very good, but the texture is different from other Mium Lab gummies, which is surprising at first. Like almost all the Mium Lab gummies I've tried, I find them very effective. As I'm very tired and prone to cramps at the moment, I've found this cure to be a real benefit. I'd definitely recommend it! I'll be receiving it soon with my subscription!
